Shadow Box

The snow came back and we needed something to do inside. We decided that we wanted to make a shadow box, which is basically a hollowed out book. Like this:

So now if we ever need to hide anything we have a pretty cool spot. We found this really old U.S Tax Cases book at the D.I. and this is how we spent our Friday night...

72 Days and Counting

We have been engaged for almost 9 months. That is a really long time and we are getting so excited. At first we were counting by months and then weeks but now we are literally counting down days to The Big Day. I know what you are thinking... 72 days is still a pretty long time, but hey it feels a lot closer than when we started out with 11 months and two days. We are almost there..... almost. Here is a pretty sweet sneak peek at our engagement pictures. My sister Jill took them for us and they are AMAZING. I was so glad she did them for us, it was so much fun and such a cool thing to do with my sister.

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

It's the most wonderful time of the year. At least for these two almost Robertsons. March really is an exciting time for us... let me break it down for you.

Parker is a pretty big basketball fan. I am learning to enjoy college basketball more and more. This is our second MARCH MADNESS together. It defiantly adds a little excitement to March. I thought for sure that Utah State would be able to beat Kansas State but sadly that didn't happen.
But there are still a lot of teams that we are excited to see advance. Despite the feelings Parker has towards a certain Jimmer it has still been fun to see BYU doing so well.  I am pretty new to this... but I really wanted Butler to win last year so I'll be cheering for them Thursday.

We also have our own kind of March Madness. March is Birthday Madness in both of our families. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY  Lynn, John, Michelle, Ryan, Riley, Abigail, and Colter!!!

And you too Nicole! Not family but you did have an awesome birthday party with really great cake and cupcakes that we went to so you deserve a shout out on the blog. Plus you read it :)

With all of this madness you would think that we wouldn't have any more time for anything. After all we are both in school and still working hard on that wedding of ours, but trust me we make time. My favorite part of March is the fact that BASEBALL IS BACK BABY!!
Not only is Spring Training extra exciting because it comes after such a long time of no baseball. It is fun because The Yankees and The Phillies play a lot. For those of you who don't know, yes I am going to marry a Phillies fan. It actually is a lot of fun and both of our teams are looking really good this year.

I have been particulary excited for Spring Training to start this year. Because as much as i loved it here,
the only thing it was lacking besides him,

was them,

It has been a really exciting start to what is sure to be a great season.

You want to know what else is so wonderful about this time of year? As much as I love the winter it is nice to be getting back to the warm weather and being able to hang out outside.
Okay, so here in Logan it isn't that warm... but we are getting there. We are also getting closer and closer to our wedding which is truly wonderful!!

Bonding

Parker and I make the drive from Logan to Alpine almost every Friday. School all week and wedding stuff on the weekends. Sometimes it feels like we just got back up to Logan when it is time to turn around and go back to Alpine. Bonding experience number one, spending four hours a weekend in the ca together. Which leads us to Bonding experience number two, on one of these Fridays we were headed to Alpine when the Jeep just stopped working. The Jeep had never broken down before! It should have been awful but it turned into an all day adventure. My mom ended up meeting us in salt Lake with some of my nephews and since there was no way we could make it to the cake testing we had been hurrying home for we decided  roller skating was necessary. I love roller skating and Parker is kind enough to take me from time to time even though at the rink in Logan the highest size skate the carry is a 12 and Parker wears a size 15. So as you can imagine we really thought our luck had changed when we found that good ole HollyWood Connections carried a size 14 skate. And for a while things were looking up, in fact I think that I was looking up too, I know I wasn't looking in front of me because I was very surprised when my nephew and I collided. This brings us to Bonding experience number three. Eventually Parker convinced me we should go to the doctor, I was not to happy when that resulted in this:

Yes that is a picture of my right hand and arm in a cast. Please note how the cast goes all the way up my thumb. I had no idea until this freak roller rink accident how much i used my right thumb. Take sometime to notice how hard it is to do things without moving your right thumb. This brings us to several new Bonding experiences. Parker not only had to help me whenever I needed to write something or type something. He even had to help me with my hair! He learnt how use the straightener and although we are still working on the braids he is pretty good at putting it in a pony tail.

At first I was so frustrated to have such a big awkward cast, but I got it off after a couple of weeks and now with two free hands it's just kind of funny. Now I guess we can just look at is as a really great bonding experience.
