Little Robertson Number Two!!

If you haven't heard already…. which is unlikely since Parker has basically been shouting it from rooftops… Little Robertson Number Two is on the way!!
We are beyond thrilled and feel so blessed to be able to add to our family. I am pretty positive that we will never sleep again but who cares!
Here are all the details…
The due date is October 16, 2015…… However this time around I am just planning on going late. Our kids will be roughly two years and two weeks apart. Feels kind of perfect.
I am positive this baby is a boy. Hands down. It will be the shock of my life if this baby is a girl. We are going to find out in late May.
The first trimester was pretty dang rough. I am so so grateful to be near family. I seriously am laughing at myself because I thought I had a hard time in my first trimester with Jack. Morning sickness with a toddler is a wild ride! I've gotten pretty good at puking my guts out while holding a squirmy Jack at arms length. Why he finds it all so fascinating and wants to be involved is beyond me…
It has been smoother sailing in the second trimester so far. I am not sick all the time and everything is starting to sink in. We are going to have a baby! It is finally starting to feel real.
I am so excited to see Jack become a big brother. I might be slightly biased but I am pretty sure he will be a great brother. I'm sure he will teach the little one all of his trouble making tricks.
This baby in my belly is a wiggly little thing. We have had one ultrasound and it was so fun to see the little one swimming and flipping. I am super shocked at how early I could feel the flutters this time around.
I already have a little bump. It happened way sooner than I thought it would. They tell you that will happen the second time around but I just wasn't expecting it so soon. Nope not twins! Just the one already getting comfortable in there.
Parker has a boy name all picked out that we are pretty set on. It is super early though so who knows.  We don't even talk about girl names. Partly because we are so sure this baby is a boy and mostly because there is not a single one we can agree on.
I am usually hearing moms say how fast their second pregnancy goes by! But to be honest the first 14 weeks felt miserably long. But I wouldn't be surprised if the next few months go extra quick to make up for it.
We love this little baby so much already! Parenthood has been the greatest and most rewarding adventure of our lives.
Can't believe I get to be a mama of two!!

Digging for Worms

This crazy spring weather has us splashing in the sunshine one day and playing in the rain the next. We had such a big rain storm last week it was the perfect opportunity to take Jack out on a worm hunt! We found big ones and small ones and he loved every second of it. He would hold the worm and carefully put it into his bucket. His little plastic shovel and bucket are his new favorite toys. He loves digging in the dirt. Someone told me I am a pretty good boy mom because I'll help him look for worms. I laughed because my mom is the one who taught me all about digging for worms. She would help us girls find worms, tadpoles, rollie pollies and snails!

Puddles

Jack loves water. He loves bath time and swimming and playing in the drinking fountain at church.  A big puddle in the driveway made his whole day. And mine too.

Life Lately

Back in the day all of these events would have had their very own blog post. But that was before I had a toddler who climbed everything in sight. My computer time these days is pretty limited. So here it is. A quick list of things that have been awesome.
A visit from Kyle and Sarah. Tulip Festival. First time running through sprinklers. First time skinning his knee. A haircut that makes him look ready to start preschool. A growing obsession with any sort of water that makes me want to strap his life jacket on him every time we leave the house. Sweet treats with a sweet boy. Annnnd having to kiss his reflection every single time he sees it. Sorry to all of the store windows that got chocolate sprinkle slobber marks.

Quick Trip to Logan

A couple weekends ago we got to spend our Saturday in our favorite place with our favorite people. I don't usually find myself to be very sentimental but Logan has a special place in our hearts. So many big life changing things happened to us in the five years Logan was home. It was so good to go up. Even though it was only for a day. We went to the Aggie spring game where they announced that it will now be Maverick Stadium. Jack watched most of the game. He gave Big Blue a big high five and then tried to follow him back down onto the field.  He clapped and cheered- but kept yelling "Wow! Basketball!" We are still working on the word football. In his defense there has been a lot of basketball talk around here lately. But best of all we got to see our friends! We took our very first picture of the five of us together. It was a pretty big deal. Only took close to three years.

Easter Eggs and March Madness

Jack dyed eggs for the first time this year. He was in heaven. Messy, colorful heaven. I was not planning on doing it this year. I thought he was too little. Oh boy was I wrong. Sometimes its good to have sisters that but in and tell you whats up.

We missed Parker on Easter. On Thursday Parker got tickets to the final four games in Indianapolis. So last minute he took off because when you have an opportunity like that you just have to go! He had the best time. Jack and I missed him like crazy! He gets home today and we are counting down the hours.

Every night Jack and I would watch videos of Parker. Seriously Jack really needs his dad at bedtime. Nothing I do is just right… and I am pretty ok with that.

It has been a whirlwind around here and we have all been running. But we made time to remember our Savior and feel joy and peace.

"Today we celebrate the gift of victory. Over every fall we have ever experienced, every sorrow we have ever known, every discouragement we have ever had, every fear we have ever faced." - Jeffrey R. Holland

P.S. How amazing was conference?? I am already re-watching.
