30 Weeks!

This has been big a week. I turned 22 on the 22nd. The Royal Baby was born on my birthday, which I thought was pretty cool. And I reached 30 weeks. It feels like a big pregnancy milestone.

I keep feeling like I have all the time in the world to get things done. My sister Jill told me to get myself in gear because there is always the possibility that this little guy will come early. (all of my sisters are betting I am going to have him early because they all had their babies early... my gut is telling me I will probably be the one that goes late) My due date is September 28th, and it still sounds so far away. But the past 30 weeks have gone by so fast I am sure the next 10 will fly!

I haven't touched a sewing machine since I had to for school in the seventh grade. But this week with a bit a ton of help I made Jack a quilt. It is almost done and when it is I will post pictures because it looks pretty awesome. I still am going to make him a few more blankets and a crib skirt to match his quilt.

When we came home from Philadelphia my brother asked me if I had swallowed a basketball over there. That is kind of how I feel! It is starting to get uncomfortable to bend over to tie my shoes...

Jack is a really active baby. My big belly is constantly moving around.  I often have a knee or a foot in my rib cage and he gets really big hiccups. He wakes me up nice and early every morning. I should probably just get used to it.

Philadelphia!

Happy Fourth Of July!
From Independence Hall

Check-Stand in Independence Hall on Independence Day-off the bucket list!!
The whole city of Philadelphia was a big party on the fourth. Parades up and down the streets. It was insane but an unforgettable experience.

My parents on the fourth inside of Independence Hall.

We went to see where Washington crossed the Delaware.

Our hotel was right across the street from Reading Terminal Market.  It may have been my favorite part of Philadelphia. Hand rolled doughnuts. Milk Shakes. Thick pieces of homemade french toast. Basically all of my pregnant dreams come true in one convenient location.

We had such great seats at the Phillies game. Parker was on cloud nine. And the fans we sat by were so much fun.

I even wore red... I'll cheer for anything that makes him that happy.
This was taken later in the game. It was so hot! It was such a good game. The Phillies even pulled off a win against Atlanta for Parker. So it really was a perfect night.
Thanks Mom and Dad for the dream vacation.  We had so much fun!

Washington D.C.!

Parker and I were lucky enough to go on an amazing trip with my parents a couple weeks ago. We started in D.C. but went all over. Five states, three baseball games, and quite a few historical sights and museums, we had the time of our lives.
There is so much I could share! We went so many places and saw so many amazing things. We had such a wonderful time and had so much fun with my mom and dad. We could not believe how much we were able to see and do (especially with me being pregnant and with it being so hot- the humidity was killer). Here are a bunch of pictures.

Here are my parents walking over to the National Archives. I had been to D.C. once before and the National Archives was one of my favorite things we did. I was so excited to take Parker. I can't find the words to describe the feeling of seeing those documents that shaped our nation. It's breath taking. Parker loved it as much as I knew he would.

Here we are at Mount Vernon. Another favorite! It is so beautiful.

George Washington's tomb.

Arlington Cemetery.

Camden Yards! My mom and I both swear the Camden has the best ballpark hot dogs. I stand by that statement. The Yankees played ok considering half their lineup is on the DL but, Baltimore kicked their trash. I was a good sport. It was still so much fun. I don't think it is possible to go to Camden Yards and not have a good time.

Air and Space Museum. Probably our favorite Smithsonian. We got caught in the biggest rain storm I have ever been in on our way there. We were drenched.

Here we are at the Nationals game. My dad is happier than he looks in this picture. Another fun ballpark and another great game.

This was on July 3rd and they had amazing fireworks after the game.

WWII Monument.

The Washington Monument was under construction.

Lincoln Monument.

The rotunda in the Capitol Building.

The statue of Ronald Reagan in the rotunda has part of the Berlin Wall in the base.

See the crushed up pieces.

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial

D.C. Temple. It is so beautiful.

Fords Theater.

All of this and so much more. I wasn't the best at taking pictures. We were having way too much fun. I will post pictures from the Philadelphia part of our trip soon.
