4th of July

My favorite holiday. This year we spent the morning hiking, Jack loved it and made us laugh the whole time especially on the way home when he acted SO tired like he hadn't been carried the entire way. We spent the afternoon at a giant pond with family playing in the sun, sand, mud and water. We saw ducks and fish, threw rocks and ate endless amounts of Otter Pops. Jack napped under a make shift shade tent and it was actually a very relaxing afternoon. In the evening Jack ate a large amount of chocolate pudding and managed to get it up to his elbows and behind his ears. It was totally worth it because he was grinning from ear to ear the whole time. We set off smoke bombs, flowers, and even a parachute man in the front yard but Jack was not interested. So instead we ended the day like we end most days around here, jumping on the trampoline. With Jack in bed Parker and I planned to stay up and watch the sky for fireworks but by 9 P.M. I could not keep my eyes open. I could hear them going off as I fell asleep and that was good enough for me. Basically it was the best Fourth of July ever.
Happy Birthday America!

25 weeks down 15 to go! Time has seriously been flying. It is time to start getting ready for our little girl before I get so round I don't want to move more than I have to. Next Fourth of July we will be a family of of four!!
