"I'll Get You My Pretty"

So if you live in Utah you might have heard of this big hoopla called Witches Night Out. It is a night dedicated to grown women acting like little girls by dressing like witches and dancing like crazy people. Oh and (window) shopping in (over priced) boutiques. It is something else. I have four sisters though and we like to go do things as girls so we tried it out this year. And it was pretty fun.
I like Halloween. I think it is so much fun. So I was actually pretty excited to have a reason to get all dressed up. I decided to go for a twist on the Wicked Witch of the West.
Not the one who is green but still pretty and just really misunderstood who sings on Broadway.
The real one. Who cackles. And has really cool theme music. The one who not only threatens Dorothy but her little dog too.
This costume was so easy to put together and actually came out looking really cool. To fully commit I should have painted my face green but I settled for a ton of green eye shadow and green nail polish. I already had the striped shirt and the jacket. I made the skirt- well I guess it's a tutu. It was incredibly easy. All it took was an elastic waist band and a bunch of tulle. You just tie the tulle to the band. I had extra material so I made "mini tutu bracelet things" for my wrists to get the fringe coming out of my jacket. The hat I found at target and picked because it had a really wide brim and was super tall like the one Wicked Witch of the West wears. I wish it would have been all black though.
I was pretty happy with the end result.

I had a really fun night with my mom and sisters. And I was really impressed with their dance moves!! Basically Moms Night Out #2 could be about us. I am joking. But a night out with them is so much fun and very needed from time to time.

My sister Lisa (Left) made a tutu too but used purple as well! So neat! And hers hung better than mine. Here we are drowning in tulle in the back of my moms car.

And here are my sisters defying gravity. I love them so much.
